I want to again thank you for your very professional. And personal, attentiveness during our remarkable trip to your country. We saw, and did, things that were incredible, and did so with confidence that you always had the road well paved ahead of us. Everything was carefully considered, and always handled flawlessly. I recognize that doesn’t happen by accident, and want you to know how much I appreciate your efforts.

It has been reasonably established that the library or parts of the collection were destroyed by fire on a number of occasions (library fires were common enough and replacement of handwritten manuscripts was very difficult, expensive and time-consuming).
