Egypt... not only the Pyramids

Egypt has been known as the cradle of civilization for centuries and also a cradle for inspiration; the source of many people's discoveries and experiences.

Egypt is a timeless jewel. We'll open the doors to this giant open-air museum of astounding megastructures, all raised to honor powerful kings and a colorful pantheon of gods. We take in the full measure of the 5,000-year-long story of Egypt as we cruise down the Nile in the wake of Cleopatra and the pharaohs.

But there's more to Egypt than the temples, tombs, and hieroglyphs that have entranced visitors for thousands of years. As we travel, we uncover the living beauty of the Nile, lifeblood of Egypt, as we see tableaus unchanged in centuries--oxen plowing fertile fields, bread baking in wood-fired ovens, mud-brick villages that evoke the life of earlier eras.

This exquisite journey concludes with visits to nomadic Bedouins, watching a desert sunrise from the top of Mount Sinai, and snorkeling in the Red Sea.
